Young Adult Ministry seeks to provide spiritual and social outreach to men and women. We wish to promote moral and spiritual structure in order to empower our lives as disciples of Jesus Christ. This group includes those between the ages of 22-45 having the following status’ singles, married, widowed, and divorced with or without children. The Young Adult Ministry allows young adults to connect with one another by addressing their needs and issues through evangelism, Christian fellowship, and supporting the growth of the body of Christ.

Women’s Christian Fellowship (WCF)
This is the official women’s group of the International Council of Community Churches (ICCC) and of Douglas Memorial Community Church. The WCF is very involved in the activities of the ICCC regionally and nationally. At Douglas, the WCF hosts a Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, WCF, serves coffee during Sunday School on the second Sunday of each month, and stands ready to assist other ministries in our church in any way possible. Each female adult member of the church is automatically a member of WCF.

The Samaritans
This is the official men’s group of the International Council of Community Churches (ICCC) and of Douglas Memorial Community Church. The Samaritans sponsor monthly breakfasts as well as educational seminars. They stand ready to assist other ministries in our church in any way possible. Each male adult member of the church is automatically a member of this organization. The Samaritans were instrumental in developing the Monday Night Men’s Bible Study.

Men’s Bible Study
Men’s bible study takes an in in-depth exploration of the Old and New Testament texts, and other guided studies and resources to discuss issues that speak to the need of men. Requirements include an open heart, willing mind and a desire to grow in Christ.

Couples Ministry is designed to reach out to all married couples. Couples Ministry endeavours to empower and nurture married couples through the study of God’s word, which is their fundamental for building a God-honoring marriage and family relationship.
